About This Trip

Canada is intensely beautiful, so why not explore it all? Discover the most incredible cities in Canada, each bursting with unique culture and architecture and escape to the great wilderness, where the monumental landscapes are so incredibly picturesque. Travelling by coach and rail with your own dedicated space to sit, relax and at times sleep, you will stop in cities all across this outstanding country, immersing yourself in what it means to be Canadian.

You start your epic adventure in French-Canada, in the city of music and art, Montreal. In every city you visit you’ll be taken on an insider’s guided tour getting to know the city intimately, after exploring the street galleries and confluence of French and English culture, you will board the train and head to the capital city, Ottawa. From here it is down to multicultural Toronto, spending time with the mighty Niagara Falls before we spend two nights on the train, passing through the incredible interior of Canada, viewing it all from your wide, comfortable seats.

As we hit the west of Canada we visit Edmonton before heading to the wilds, discovering the delights of Banff and Jasper, both enshrouded in unbelievable natural scenery. Think postcard picture images everywhere you look, all the while breathing in that crisp and fresh mountain air. After venturing out to explore some of the finest wilderness in Canada we head onto the cultural melting pot of Vancouver where your cross country adventure will come to an end.

highlights

We love Canada so much. This country has the loveliest people, vibrant, ever-changing cities and scenery that is really hard to beat. While we have other tours that zone in on particular areas, we wanted to create a ‘big one,’ one that packed in all the highlights, that combined the cities and the wilderness and what better way than to pack the whole country into one trip!

The rail system in Canada is phenomenal and cross-country rail is an incredibly relaxing and comfortable way to travel. So we took this, added an expert tour guide to accompany you along the way and added in as many incredible experiences as time allowed. You will gaze in wonder at the might of Niagara, discover the canals of Ottawa, travel through the amazing Columbia Icefields and feast upon the sumptuous fusion cuisine of Vancouver.

Your dedicated seating on the train converts to a comfortable sleeping cabin for the three nights that we spend on the train, but otherwise, you will be staying in centrally located 3 and 4-star hotels. We have planned it all meticulously so that as soon as you arrive at your first hotel, you will be on a rollercoaster of sheer joy.

location

Arriving at your first hotel in Montreal, we will take care of everything from then on as you coast across Canada exploring at every stage. From Montreal, you will head to Ottawa, then to Toronto and Niagara Falls. After this taster of the east coast, you settle down to two days of unbelievable scenery as we cross into the west where our first stop is dynamic Edmonton. From here we will head into the intense scenery of Banff and Jasper, before travelling through the Rockies to arrive at our final destination, Vancouver, where the tour comes to an end.
