Los Angeles to San Francisco. On a map, it's a pretty short drive. On our 14-day trip, we have turned it into an epic adventure soaking in vibrant towns and cities, desert landscapes, national parks and some of the most iconic parts of Western USA.  There are highlights around every corner on this trip, but if we had to pick out a couple, we would go for these. 

This trip is bursting with National Parks, each with its own unique beauty, but for us, there is nothing quite like Yosemite. Yosemite National Park is a place of breathtaking natural beauty that immerses you from the moment you arrive. Towering granite cliffs, like the famed Half Dome and El Capitan, rise dramatically above lush valleys while cascading waterfalls thunder into serene pools below. The park’s ancient sequoia trees and pristine alpine meadows feel like stepping back in time, surrounded by the wild sounds of rushing rivers and the fresh scent of pine. Trails lead to quiet, awe-inspiring vistas where you can look out over landscapes that feel both expansive and intimate, giving a profound sense of connection to nature. Every corner of Yosemite offers a new wonder, making it a deeply moving experience that leaves a lasting impression.

As a complete contrast, we want to showcase just what a riotous experience it is to visit Las Vegas. The city is an electric playground where fun and excitement pulse around the clock! Known for its dazzling neon lights, world-famous casinos, and endless entertainment, the city offers everything from spectacular shows to themed hotels that whisk you into different worlds in a single night. You can stroll down the Strip and be captivated by the Eiffel Tower one moment, the Sphinx the next, then catch a fountain show before heading inside for a round of blackjack or a spin on a roulette wheel. The city is a whirlwind of glitz, glamour, and unforgettable nights out, where anything goes, and every hour brings something unexpected. In Las Vegas, every moment is a celebration, and there’s no better place to let loose and live it up!

You pick up your car in Los Angeles and rather than heading up the coast to San Fran, we are going the long way round.  Crossing into Nevada your next stop is Laughlin, followed by a trip into Arizona to the Grand Canyon National Park. From there we ping-pong between Utah and Arizona with overnights in Monument Valley, Page, Bryce Canyon and Las Vegas.  After Vegas, you head north to Bakersfield and Yosemite before finally ending up in San Francisco.

Passport & visa requirements

• All visitors require a passport with a minimum validity of 3 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants)
• It is the visitor's responsibility to ensure they are holding the correct and current visa for the countries they are visiting
• If the visitor is a non-Australian passport holder, a valid re-entry visa may be required
• Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 6-8 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours and processing times

• Any dietary requirements must be received by DealsAway at least 30 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Failure to provide these details by this date may result in an inability to cater for your requirements

This can happen with little notice so please be prepared for modifications to the route. The order and timing of included activities may also vary from time to time
  
  

Availability

• All DealsAway trips are available on a request-only basis and are subject to availability. Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 5 business days of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay

• In the event that your trip is unavailable on the dates you have chosen, we will contact you by telephone to advise the next available dates
  
  

Surcharges

• Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. DealsAway will inform its guests of these changes as soon as possible, these additional charges will be passed on by DealsAway to the guest
  
  

AMENDMENTS & CHANGES

Name change or corrections

• After bookings are fully paid, any amendment has to be requested in writing and incurs a $69 fee per person from our supplier, plus any additional costs and administrative expenses incurred in arranging the amendment

CAR HIRE

Each daily hire is based on a period of 24hrs rental, for example, a 2-day hire is the equivalent of 48hrs hire starting at the time the vehicle is picked up. If you require a longer rental time due to flight times or for any other reason then we advise you to purchase another day of rental hire. This can be added on request for an additional fee 

If you are late returning the vehicle this may result in a fee being charged to you from the car hire supplier directly

DealsAway takes no responsibility for any additional fees incurred to the customer by the car hire supplier

Minimum Driver Age

• 21 years
• YOUNG DRIVER FEE - Where a renter is aged between 21-24 a young driver fee will apply  

One Way Drop Off

• One-way fees/charges are not included
• Applicable one way fees/charges will be charged directly to the customer's nominated credit card by the car rental company. 
• A one-way rental is the collection and return of a rental vehicle from one retail location to another.
• One-way rentals are subject to availability and a service fee applies. This fee will vary depending on the class of vehicle and the pick-up and drop-off locations.

Additional Drivers

• Additional Drivers are permitted Free of Charge providing the minimum rental age and all other driver requirements are met
• Additional authorised drivers must be registered on the authority to drive form which would accompany the Rental Agreement. There is no limit to additional drivers providing they all meet the above criteria
