The Murray River is a truly delightful part of Australia and it is so steeped in history that we wanted to create a tour that really immersed you in that history. The paddlesteamer tradition on the river stretches back almost 200 years and we looked for the highest quality experience available, one that would provide a transformative, immersive step back in time to the glory days of the paddlesteamers. The PS Emmylou has been painstakingly constructed, then refitted to provide sheer luxury for its passengers. The cabins have been tastefully designed in wood, with an art-deco feel. The dining area on your vintage wooden deck provides a stunning al-fresco experience and your chef is constantly redesigning his first-class menu to provide the freshest, most local flavours available. 

While you are on board, you will hardly want to leave, that is until you see the excursions we have laid on for you. Enjoy every second of this classic return to a slower age as you travel through history on the Murray River. 

This trip is focused on the Murray River, but there are a couple of stops on land too. You start off by flying into Melbourne where we have hand-picked an incredible hotel right in the centre of town. From there you will be collected and transferred to Echuca where you will board the PS Emmylou which will take you downriver to Perricoota Station, Torrumbarry Weir and Layfield Lane before returning you to Port of Echuca where you will spend a final night in a luxurious hotel. From here, we will transfer you back to Melbourne to meet your onward travel. 

We have hand-selected two incredible hotels for your time on land, and while you are on the river, you will stay in the vintage splendour of the PS Emmylou, the only craft of its kind in the whole world.
