While the whole cultural experience of visiting Nepal is an ever-changing highlight, there are a couple of stand-out highlights that we have to talk about in depth. 

Chitwan National Park is simply unbelievable. The dense jungle and wetlands here are such diverse landscapes that exploring them will provide joy at every turn, and this is even without mentioning the wildlife! However, mention it we must as there are few better places in the world to try and spot an elusive Bengal tiger, clouded leopard or one-horned rhino. While you are almost guaranteed to see elephants lumbering through the forest or across the shallow plains and there is a non-stop riot of colour from birds, insects and monkeys to keep you on your toes all day. 

The other major highlight is when you reach Pokhara. While you will have great views of the Himalayas from other locations, there is nothing like arriving at the gateway to Annapurna. Pokhara is the second city of Nepal, but it couldn't be more different to Kathmandu. You will spend time here exploring the city and enjoying its peaceful lake, but it is when you take some steps towards the mountains that things really change. In particular, we take you out to Sarangkot while it is still dark so that you can revel in the spectacle of a Himalayan sunrise from one of the best viewing spots in the whole country.

Your trip begins in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your city-centre hotel. After time exploring Kathmandu, you will be taken down to the enchanting Chitwan National Park, where we will spend the next couple of days. After this, you head up Bandipur, before being driven to Pokhara, where you will spend a couple of nights. Then, you will be taken back to Kathmandu to spend a final night in the city before being driven back to the airport the following morning.

Passport & visa requirements

• As border restrictions for countries begin to ease, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will maximise the number of locations you can visit. • We highly recommend our travellers to look at the current travel restrictions of their destination, speak with a medical professional at least 30 days before departure or get in touch with our team for travel advice.
• Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour
