You will be travelling with a small group, a maximum of 16 people, so you can really make the most of all your holiday without waiting in long queues and getting the full experience each tour has to offer. 

Every tour will be provided in English by local experienced tour guides who know the towns, cities and areas you will be visiting so you will get a real feel for each destination and see them come to life. 

We don’t want you to see Taiwan through the window of a coach or speed through the itinerary without having the opportunity to really experience the culture, the people, the tastes and smells. Diving headfirst into Taiwan your package holiday begins in the incredible city of Taipei, a modern metropolis with its colonial lanes, bustling shopping streets and contemporary striking buildings. From here you will find the embodiment of peace and tranquility at the Sun and Moon Lake known as the gem of Taiwanese natural beauty.

Your next stop will be at a traditional tea plantation where you will get to experience and try a cup of the famous tea of taiwan before you head on to Tainan, Taiwan’s oldest city. Tainan is known for its centuries-old formidable fortresses and amazing temples which you will discover and explore. 

Heading next to the port city of Kaohsiung from where you can visit famous monuments such as the Dragon and Tiger Tower and the Spring & Autumn Pavilion, before heading to Taiwan’s largest monastery, Fo Guang Shan.

The next few stops in your journey through Taiwan will take you into the heart of its national parks, from Kenting National Park to Sheding Nature Park these breathtaking landscapes will capture your heart and imagination. 

Enjoying the scenic ocean drive from Kenting to Taitung watch the coast zip by before continuing onwards to Chihpen where you will relax and unwind in its natural hot spas. Your penultimate stop will be in Taroko, where you will dive into this national park with stunning sightseeing vantage points and postcard perfect views before returning back to Taipei where your tour will come to end.

In more remote areas, accommodation may vary and it could be of a lower standard and may not have all amenities you are used to. However it is worth noting that all of your group tour hotels will have private bathroom facilities, air conditioning, TV and telephone.

Passport & visa requirements

• All visitors require a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants)
• Entry visas are required by all visitors to Taiwan and DealsAway can assist you with the process of obtaining a visa
• Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 6-8 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours and processing times
  
  

Travel insurance

• We recommend you purchase travel insurance as soon as possible after purchasing this package
• We strongly encourage all customers to take a copy of their travel insurance documents (especially relevant international contact numbers) with them while on tour
  
  

Health & vaccination

• Travellers are advised to check with their local health professional at least 45 days prior to departure, as some vaccinations require 30 days or more to be effective
• Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour 
• It is advised that you ensure you have adequate health insurance cover as part of your travel insurance
  
  

Luggage

• All travellers are limited to two items of luggage each, this can be:
  One suitcase with a maximum weight of 20kg
  One piece of hand luggage with a maximum weight of 5kg
  
  

Porterage

• Porterage will not always be available throughout this trip, if/when it is available a tip is recommended
   

Tipping

• Tipping and gratuities are not included in the package
• Customary tipping amount of approximately US$40 per person (AU$58) is paid locally in Taiwan
  
  

Fitness requirements

• Travellers should have a good level of physical fitness and mobility. They must be able to partake unaided in their chosen activities/package tours/cruise etc. as outlined in the itinerary
• Sightseeing at nearly all of the points of interest involves walking, some steps and time on your feet
   

Dietary requirements

• Any dietary requirements must be received by DealsAway at least 30 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Failure to provide these details by this date may result in an inability to cater for your requirements
• In most cases DealsAway can cater for special dietary requirements but please note that on occasion, this may not be possible due to location, lack of availability of ingredients, and other extenuating circumstances. It is always advised to carry supplies with you

• The value and comparative savings have been determined based on published rack rates and the value of inclusions. Please be advised that rack rates may not be reflective of actual rates being charged, dependent on the timing and manner of your booking and therefore are only indicative of the level of saving
  
  

Itinerary amendments & changes

• Occasionally our itineraries are updated prior to departure to incorporate improvements stemming from past travellers’ feedback as well as updates from our ground operators. Please note that while we operate successful tours in this region throughout the year, some changes may be necessary due to inclement weather, public holidays, common seasonal changes to timetables and transport routes, and unforeseen circumstances. This can happen with little notice so please be prepared for modifications to the route. The order and timing of included activities may also vary from time to time
  
  

Availability

• All DealsAway trips are available on a request only basis and are subject to availability. Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 72hrs of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay
• If you have not received your confirmation within 5 business days of payment confirmation please contact us immediately by email at support@dealsaway.com
• In the event that your trip is unavailable for the dates you have chosen we will contact you by telephone to advise the next available dates
  
  

Surcharges

• Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. DealsAway will inform its guests of these changes as soon as possible, these additional charges will be passed on by DealsAway to the guest

AMENDMENTS & CHANGES

Name change or corrections

• Name corrections may incur a fee

• After bookings are fully paid, any amendment has to be requested in writing and incurs $69 fee per person from our supplier, plus any additional costs and administrative expenses incurred in arranging the amendment
