Venice and the Dolomites are a feast for the senses, yet in completely different ways. You’ll begin surrounded by the soft shimmer of the Venetian lagoon, the scent of fresh coffee drifting from tiny cafés and the gentle sound of boats gliding through the canals, with centuries-old palazzi glowing in the Italian sunshine. Then the scenery changes dramatically as you reach the Dolomites, where immense limestone peaks rise above emerald valleys and flower-filled Alpine meadows. Breathe in the crisp mountain air, listen to the quiet of the high-altitude landscape and gaze across views that seem almost impossibly beautiful. From the romantic waterways of Venice to the soaring grandeur of Seceda, this is Italy at its most captivating, with every day offering another unforgettable sensory experience.

The joy of this journey is that the road is yours to discover. With your own car, you can leave the main route behind whenever something catches your eye, pull over for a photograph, wander into a tiny village or stop at a roadside café for a leisurely espresso and a slice of something delicious. Take the mountain roads slowly, windows open to the fresh Alpine air, pause for a traditional South Tyrolean lunch or follow the lake shore until you find the perfect terrace overlooking Lake Garda. There is no need to hurry from one attraction to the next. You’ll have the freedom to linger, explore and follow your instincts, creating a journey filled with those spontaneous little moments that often become your favourite memories.

Your trip begins in Venice where you will spend a couple of nights before picking up your hire car.  From here you begin to wind through the Italian countryside until you reach Verona, and then head down into the Dolomites, stopping off in Val Gardena.  From here, you will drive down to scenic Lake Garda before returning to Venice to drop off your car.

• All visitors require a passport with a minimum validity of 3 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants)

• If the visitor is a non-Australian passport holder, a valid re-entry visa may be required

Health & vaccination

• As border restrictions for countries begin to ease, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will maximise the number of locations you can visit. So whilst you are not legally required to be vaccinated, and it’s also not a requirement to travel with us, it will limit some of the countries that you can visit and may make it harder to travel for the next 12-18 months.

• We highly recommend our travellers to look at the current travel restrictions of their destination, speak with a medical professional at least 30 days before departure or get in touch with our team for travel advice.

• Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour

• It is advised that you ensure you have adequate health insurance cover as part of your travel insurance

Fitness requirements

Availability

• All DealsAway trips are available on a request-only basis and are subject to availability. Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 72hrs of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay

Surcharges
