A splendid journey by vintage steam train will take you to Rotorua, to spend time at these otherworldly hot springs.

Then the South Island beckons, digging deep into the Southern Alps as you spend time in Queenstown, explore Arthur’s Pass and Franz Josef on board the TranzAlpine, one of the world’s great rail journeys. highlights

In-depth exploration is what we pride ourselves on and when it comes to New Zealand we wanted to develop a way to get under the skin of this dramatic natural wonderland. There was a reason New Zealand was picked as the backdrop to the Lord of the Rings movies, with the imposing snow-capped mountain ranges giving way to glorious, rich plains. The variety of landscapes across the country are amazing, from being deep in tropical jungles to ascending barren mountain peaks, you will explore them all.

The other aspect we wanted to focus on was New Zealand’s incredible service industry. We ensure that you are in incredible 4-star hotels throughout your journey, stopping off for 2-night stays in six different locations to let you relax and really get time to explore your locations.

We also wanted to focus on the Maori culture of New Zealand, to give you an understanding of the indigenous culture of the islands and their influence on modern New Zealand. With visits to the Kauri Museum, Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Te Papa and experiencing a traditional Hangi and concert, we make sure you become an expert in Maori culture while enjoying every other aspect of glorious New Zealand.

location

The tour starts off in Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand and finishes up in Christchurch on the South Island. At both ends of the tour, you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel. All travel between these two points is covered in the cost of the tour.
