This is Southern Thailand beyond the obvious. You’ll venture away from the familiar resort trail to uncover the island’s cultural heart, travelling through Phuket aboard a traditional Phothong truck, exploring the atmospheric streets of Phuket Town and discovering the Chinese, Peranakan and Sino-Portuguese influences that have shaped the island. Then you’ll leave the coast behind entirely, heading deep into Khao Sok where your jungle retreat is surrounded by rainforest and the sounds of wildlife. You’ll explore hidden corners on foot, venture into a cave and discover the floating world of Cheow Lan Lake, experiencing a side of Thailand that feels wonderfully removed from the crowds and far closer to the country’s wild, authentic spirit.

Then there is the Thailand you came here dreaming about. Emerald waters, dazzling white beaches, towering limestone cliffs and tiny islands scattered across an impossibly blue Andaman Sea. You’ll glide between these extraordinary landscapes by traditional long-tail boat, swim in warm tropical waters and discover places that seem almost too perfect to exist. In Krabi, you can spend your days chasing that castaway feeling, from snorkelling among vibrant reefs and wandering onto powder-soft beaches to watching the sun sink across the limestone islands with a cold drink in hand. This is the kind of natural beauty that makes you slow down, breathe deeply and realise that, for a little while at least, paradise is very much within reach.

Your trip begins in Phuket, where you will be met by your transfer at the airport.  From there, you will journey to Khao Sok to experience the jungles of the region.  Then, it is back to the coast to finish off the trip in Krabi at a luxurious beach resort.

Passport & visa requirements

• All visitors require a passport with a minimum validity of 3 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants)

• If the visitor is a non-Australian passport holder, a valid re-entry visa may be required

Health & vaccination

• As border restrictions for countries begin to ease, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will maximise the number of locations you can visit. So whilst you are not legally required to be vaccinated, and it’s also not a requirement to travel with us, it will limit some of the countries that you can visit and may make it harder to travel for the next 12-18 months.

• We highly recommend our travellers to look at the current travel restrictions of their destination, speak with a medical professional at least 30 days before departure or get in touch with our team for travel advice.

• Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour

Availability

• All DealsAway trips are available on a request-only basis and are subject to availability. Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 72hrs of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay
