This incredible journey begins in Louisiana, where the people seem to be united by a profound, unwavering appreciation for life's finer things, such as its delicious cuisine and globally renowned music. New Orleans, its first city, feels unlike any other in the nation or, for that matter, the entire planet. No other city can compare to New Orleans for its unique feeling of time and place, and for exposing the world to jazz, Creole cuisine, and of course, Mardi Gras. The state is fortunate to have Baton Rouge as its beautiful capital, where you can find a metropolis dancing on its own rhythm just up the Mississippi River.
The trip continues north through Mississippi and into Tennessee, where Nashville, the state's capital, appears to be on an unstoppable roll. It is filled with lively neighbourhoods densely populated with unique boutiques, independent coffee shops, innovative bakeries, breweries, and distilleries. As the days go by, you'll travel into Georgia, where the journey will come to a finish in the great metropolis of Atlanta. The city has no shortage of things to see and do, spanning from the arts, gastronomy, history and sports.
