With deep dives into Vancouver, Whistler, Jasper and Calgary, we cover the impact of people on this area, by exploring these wonderful towns and cities. Wildlife opportunities about everywhere, crossing to Vancouver Island poses a massive chance of seeing whales and flying back over gives you the most amazing perspective on the Georgia Strait. Your Journey Through the Clouds rail experience takes you through scenery as you have never experienced before and then your glacier exploration will literally take you into the middle of nowhere, in glorious fashion. Your journey begins in the stunning coastal city of Vancouver. We explore this area in great detail before heading into the heart of the Rockies before finishing up in Calgary. We will provide accommodation details for your hotels in both of these cities when you book so you can arrange transport to/from them well in advance.

Passport & visa requirements

• All visitors require a passport to enter Canada. For Australian citizens travelling on an Australian passport, you do need a visa or permit to visit Canada
• It is the visitors responsibility to ensure they are holding the correct and current visa for the countries they are visiting
• If the visitor is on a non-Australian passport holder, a valid re-entry visa may be required
• Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 6-8 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours and processing times
• A valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants)

Travel insurance

• We recommend you purchase travel insurance as soon as possible after purchasing this package

Health & vaccination

• Travellers are advised to check with their local health professional at least 45 days prior to departure, as some vaccinations require 30 days or more to be effective
• It is advised that you ensure you have adequate health insurance cover as part of your travel insurance

Porterage

• On occasion, porterage is not included, therefore at times, you may be expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available. Please refer to inclusions if porterage is included

Tipping

• Tipping and gratuities are not included in the package and are at your own discretion

Fitness requirements

• Travellers should have a good level of physical fitness and mobility. They must be able to negotiate uneven surfaces and in some cases climb stairs
• Please note that some tours can include a lot of walking so please be sure to check if a comfortable pair of hiking boots is necessary

Dietary requirements

• Any dietary requirements must be received by DealsAway at least 30 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Failure to provide these details by this date may result in an inability to cater for your requirements
• In most cases DealsAway can cater for special dietary requirements but please note that on occasion, this may not be possible due to location, lack of availability of ingredients, and other extenuating circumstances. It is always advised to carry supplies with you

Transfers

• Airport transfers are not included on this trip, however, every other transfer during the tour will be taken care of

Money matters

• All major international credit cards are accepted and provided they are encoded with a PIN, may be used to obtain cash from Automatic Teller Machines throughout Canada. Check with your bank whether this facility is available to you. It is highly recommended you obtain a small amount of Canadian currency prior to your arrival in Canada
• Cash Passports or Travel Money Cards are popular and are a safe and convenient way to allow you to access cash at Automatic Teller Machines throughout Canada

Itinerary amendments & changes

• Occasionally our itineraries are updated prior to departure to incorporate improvements stemming from past travellers’ feedback as well as updates from our ground operators. Please note that while we operate successful tours in this region throughout the year, some changes may be necessary due to inclement weather, public holidays, common seasonal changes to timetables and transport routes, and unforeseen circumstances. This can happen with little notice so please be prepared for modifications to the route. The order and timing of included activities may also vary from time to time
• Sea to Sky & Whistler Village tour does not operate during September & October 2021 or April & May 2022 tour departures

Surcharges

• Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. DealsAway will inform its guests of these changes as soon as possible, these additional charges will be passed on by DealsAway to the guest
