The streets are lined with baroque palaces, majestic concert halls and sublime museums, all dating back centuries but looking like they were built just yesterday. A stunning city, built on its foundation of music and coffee culture, it will enchant you in every way.  

Then there is Budapest, another dramatically romantic city which is split neatly in two by the Danube. The river is crossed by hundreds of beautifully lit bridges which makes for evening strolls filled with delight, and that is not the only delight of this beguiling city. It has architecture to rival Vienna as well as a thriving gastronomic scene and, of course, this is the best city in the world if you want to hit a thermal spa. From glorious outdoor public spas to ancient city treasures and more modern spas, however you want to pamper yourself, Budapest is the place to do it.  

Your trip begins in Vienna, where you will spend a couple of nights before boarding your river cruiser. From Vienna, you will head back upriver to visit Melk and the Wachau Valley, before heading down into Slovakia to stop in its vibrant capital, Bratislava. From here we head into Hungary, stopping off in Kalocsa before arriving in its capital Budapest.  Then, after some time here, we head down to Esztergom, before travelling back to Vienna to finish the trip.

Passport & visa requirements

• All visitors require a passport with a minimum validity of 3 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants)
• It is the visitor's responsibility to ensure they are holding the correct and current visa for the countries they are visiting.
• If the visitor is a non-Australian passport holder, a valid re-entry visa may be required
• Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 6-8 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours and processing times

Health & vaccination

• As border restrictions for countries begin to ease, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will maximise the number of locations you can visit. So whilst you are not legally required to be vaccinated, and it’s also not a requirement to travel with us, it will limit some of the countries that you can visit and may make it harder to travel for the next 12-18 months.
• We highly recommend our travellers to look at the current travel restrictions of their destination, speak with a medical professional at least 30 days before departure or get in touch with our team for travel advice.
• Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour
• It is advised that you ensure you have adequate health insurance cover as part of your travel insurance

Fitness requirements

Availability

• All DealsAway trips are available on a request-only basis and are subject to availability. Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 72hrs of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay

• In the event that your trip is unavailable on the dates you have chosen, we will contact you by telephone to advise the next available dates
  
  

Surcharges

• Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. AMENDMENTS & CHANGES

Name change or corrections
