Strasbourg is a real hidden gem of Europe, not one of France’s big-ticket cities, but after visiting you will wonder why. Its vast network of canals and rivers crisscross the city, lined by traditional, pastel-coloured Alsatian buildings. There are some quite stunning places to visit in Strasbourg, including the virtually unknown Palais Rohan, which some call mini-Versailles. 

Climbing to the top of Cologne’s majestic cathedral for panoramic views is a must, as is a stroll along the energetic riverside promenade. The city also boasts a rich cultural scene, with world-class museums like the Ludwig Museum, which houses a vast collection of modern art, and historic breweries offering a taste of the local Kölsch beer. The city’s lively atmosphere, combined with its mix of history and modernity, makes it an essential stop along the Rhine.

Amsterdam has similarities in that it is replete with waterways, but it offers a whole different feel. Relaxed and easy-going, the Dutch residents will be more than happy to welcome you to their city, whether you are visiting the multitude of incredible museums, heading out to visit the windmills and tulip fields or simply ambling along its rustic canal-lined streets.

Your trip begins in Amsterdam, where we have arranged an additional night to allow you to get to know the city better. You then board your beautiful river cruiser which takes you down to Dusseldorf, Cologne, Koblenz and Mainz before crossing over into France. Once in France, you will stop in Strasbourg, before swinging back into Germany to stop in Breisach. And then it is down to Basel, Switzerland where your trip comes to an end.

Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 72hrs of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay

Surcharges

• Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. Name change or corrections
