The whole of the Amalfi region is a highlight, but I suppose we have to be a little more specific here. Despite its raw natural beauty and its carefully constructed beauty, it is the culture of Amalfi that will remain with you. La Dolce Vita is not just about being wealthy and having cocktails by an exclusive swimming pool! It is the way of life here, it is about appreciating beauty in all its forms, from the freshly caught seafood that melts in your mouth, to the locally grown wines that tantalise your tastebuds. 

Pompeii is an obvious highlight, but one that must be mentioned. There is simply no experience like it. You have to keep reminding yourself exactly what happened here, or it is easy to slip into the idea that this is some kind of Disney-style creation, it is so perfect. Hauntingly beautiful, your guide is truly going to bring this massively important historic discovery to life for you. 

And then there is Capri. If you don't see someone famous on your day here, it will be an anomaly. People flock to this island to bask in its sheer glory, its opulent displays of natural beauty, its honey-coloured buildings basking in golden sunlight, and of course, its incredible food. Caprese salad anyone?

Your trip begins in the Italian capital of Rome. This trip is only semi-guided, giving you the freedom to travel like a real Italian, so you will make your way to Roma Termini rail station where you will be met by a local guide to help you onto the high-speed train to Naples. After spending the night in Naples, you will be collected the next morning and taken to visit Pompeii, being taken on to Sorrento where you will spend the next couple of nights. From here you will explore the coast, staying another couple of nights in Amalfi to finish off your trip before being transferred back to Naples where you will catch the train back to Rome.

Health & vaccination

• As border restrictions for countries begin to ease, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will maximise the number of locations you can visit. So whilst you are not legally required to be vaccinated, and it’s also not a requirement to travel with us, it will limit some of the countries that you can visit and may make it harder to travel for the next 12-18 months.
• We highly recommend our travellers to look at the current travel restrictions of their destination, speak with a medical professional at least 30 days before departure or get in touch with our team for travel advice.
• Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour
• It is advised that you ensure you have adequate health insurance cover as part of your travel insurance

Fitness requirements

Availability

Once booked you should receive a payment confirmation and receipt via email, followed by a booking confirmation normally within 72hrs of making a booking, sometimes this can take a little longer subject to supplier delay
